The thesis
Forum roleplay has depth but dies in dead threads. Discord roleplay has immediacy but no memory. LFRP is an attempt at both: proper tooling (character profiles, real formatting, no scroll-loss, a reliability system so partners do not simply vanish) under a structure that lets casual play grow into something durable.
The spine is a ladder. A partner ad becomes a room; a room with a premise worth keeping becomes a Setting; a Setting that works is promoted into a World other people play in. Every tier is independently useful and each feeds the next, so worlds grow out of ordinary play instead of requiring someone to build one from scratch first.
Where it is
In active development against a written specification, currently at draft v0.2. The tier ladder, the economy, the room and world models, and pinning are all specified; world-less roleplay ships first and worlds are a fast-follow.
There is no case study here yet, and that is on purpose. Everything else on this site describes decisions that survived contact with real users, and this has not had that yet. It gets a proper write-up when it ships.
